Privacy Policy

TaxOS holds sensitive client information. This page explains plainly what we collect, how it is used and how it is kept separate.

Information we collect

Account details you provide when creating a workspace (name, email, firm name), the client and engagement records your team enters, documents your team or your clients upload, and basic usage events that tell us which parts of the product are being used.

How we use it

To operate your workspace, send transactional notifications such as invitations and reminders, provide support, and improve TaxOS. We do not sell your data and we do not use your client records for advertising.

Workspace isolation

Each firm workspace is separated at the database level. Members of one firm cannot access another firm's records. Clients invited to the client portal can only access their own records.

Government portals and credentials

TaxOS does not file returns with any government portal, is not connected to live government APIs, and never asks for or stores government portal credentials.

Documents and storage

Documents are stored in access-controlled storage. Access is limited to authorised members of the owning workspace and, where applicable, the client the document belongs to.

Retention and deletion

We retain your workspace data while your account is active. On request we delete or export your workspace data, subject to any records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Email

We send transactional email such as invitations, verification messages and notifications. We do not send marketing email to your clients.

Your choices

You can update your profile, manage team access, and request export or deletion of your workspace data at any time.
